Welcome to MDP Tax (trading as MDP Accounting & Tax). By accessing or using our website, services, or booking system, you agree to be bound by the following Terms and Conditions. Please read them carefully.

1. Services Provided

  • We provide accounting, BAS, and taxation services in accordance with the requirements of the Tax Practitioners Board (TPB).

  • Until full tax agent registration is obtained, certain services are performed under the supervision of a registered tax agent.

  • All services are offered subject to applicable Australian laws, including the Tax Agent Services Act 2009 (TASA 2009) and the Code of Professional Conduct.

2. Client Responsibilities

  • You agree to provide complete and accurate information necessary for us to prepare your accounts, BAS, or tax returns.

  • You are responsible for maintaining accurate business and financial records.

  • You are responsible for the truth and accuracy of all information you provide for lodgements with the Australian Taxation Office (ATO).

3. Fees and Payment

  • Fees are set out at the time of booking or as agreed in writing before work begins.

  • Invoices are payable prior to lodgement of any returns unless otherwise agreed.

  • For individual returns, payment may be made via EFT, card, or fee-from-refund (where available).

  • Late or overdue payments may result in suspension of services.

4. Cancellations and Rescheduling

  • Appointments can be rescheduled up to 24 hours in advance at no charge.

  • Cancellations with less than 24 hours’ notice may incur a fee.

  • Missed appointments without notice may be charged at the full service rate.

5. Confidentiality and Privacy

  • All information provided to us is kept strictly confidential in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and TPB requirements.

  • We will not disclose your information to third parties without your consent, except where required by law (e.g., ATO, ASIC, TPB).

6. Liability

  • While every effort is made to ensure accuracy, our advice is based on the information you provide.

  • We are not liable for any errors or penalties resulting from incomplete, inaccurate, or late information supplied by you.

  • To the maximum extent permitted by law, we exclude all liability for loss or damage arising from the use of our services.

7. Intellectual Property

  • All content on this website (including text, images, and branding) is owned by MDP Accounting & Tax unless otherwise stated.

  • You may not copy, reproduce, or distribute content without prior written consent.

8. Governing Law

  • These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia.

  • Any disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Victoria.

9. Updates to Terms

  • We may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with the updated date.
